Panchkula: Vehicles and 282 LPG cylinders are taken from an illegal godown by the CM’s flying team

On the Pinjore-Baddi route, in the area of Maranwala, the CM flying squad of Panchkula conducted an illegal godown operation. Four cars and a total of 282 gas cylinders were reportedly taken from the scene by the authorities.

In a month, this was the squad’s second such operation in the region.

Authorities conducting the operation said that they were tipped off about the unlawful storage space that was converted from a residential area home into a room containing gas cylinder hoarding.

Along with a squad from the Food and Civil Supplies Department, the officers claimed they stormed the illegal godown and found four trucks loaded with gas cylinders. They said that other gas cylinders were also discovered laying in the godown and that Arvind Kumar was subsequently taken into custody by their team.

282 household and commercial gas cylinders were found at the location, according to the authorities, who also said that the cylinders had been carried to the godown with the help of Chandigarh-based gas agency owners.

The team also brought up the fact that the godown owner had no paperwork pertaining to the cylinders.

Four people have been charged by the Panchkula police under the Essential Commodities Act of 1955 and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Supply and Control Order of 2000: Arvind Kumar, Raman Kumar, Jarnail Singh, and Navpreet, the drivers of the cars. The case was filed at the Pinjore police station.
