Parties in Telangana unleash tremendous artillery with 20 days remaining

Campaigning in Telangana is intensifying as voters select their representative to the Parliament in less than three weeks.

The party has stepped up its campaign even though the Congress hasn’t chosen candidates for three of the state’s 17 seats. While his party’s candidates submit their nomination papers, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the party’s leading campaigner, is traveling the constituencies and speaking at large rallies.

In the next days, the Congress party in Telangana intends to bring in prominent figures, such as general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, former president Rahul Gandhi, and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.

Within the following ten days, Priyanka is anticipated to speak at a significant public gathering in either Adilabad or Nizamabad, while Rahul will likely address two enormous public gatherings that will include the Lok Sabha constituencies of Malkajgiri, Bhongir, Secunderabad, and Medak.

To assist the party in achieving its goal of gaining at least 14 seats in the state legislature, Revanth intends to speak at around 20 public gatherings and 15 roadshows in each of the Lok Sabha constituencies. Until the elections are over, other ministers in charge of other Lok Sabha divisions will continue to concentrate on their own seats.

A goal of gaining at least ten seats in the state has also been set by the BJP. Over the following 20 days, further roadshows and public gatherings are anticipated to be attended by BJP national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and party president JP Nadda. On April 25, Amit Shah is expected to speak at a public gathering at Siddipet, covering the Medak Lok Sabha constituency.

Modi is expected to speak at two sizable public gatherings: one on April 27 that would focus on the seats of Bhongir, Nalgonda, and Warangal, and the other on Mahbubnagar, Chevella, Secunderabad, and Hyderabad. Other well-known activists will take part in roadshows in other communities.

The BRS has also stepped up its campaign, with former chief minister and party leader K Chandrasekhar Rao giving speeches at a number of public gatherings. KCR is also concentrating on problems faced by farmers, such water shortages and wilted crops. Beginning on April 24, he intends to go by bus from Miryalaguda to Sircilla and Siddipet, doing roadshows along the route. The BRS is focusing on ten Lok Sabha seats where it believes there will be fierce competition.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the current Member of Parliament for Hyderabad and President of AIMIM, is actively campaigning in his area by holding corner meetings and going door to door. Party officials are criticizing the BJP Madhavi Latha, attending local meetings, and giving speeches at events.

As the campaign heats up, politicians are use every resource available to engage voters and win their support.
