Patiala boy placed 340th
A young person from the area who placed first in the Punjab State Civil Services Examination in 2018 has aced the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE).
27-year-old Devdarshdeep Singh placed 340th in the UPSC (CSE) 2023 rankings.
He is the son of Dr. Rajwant Kaur, a Punjabi professor at Punjabi University, and Darshan Singh Aasht, a children’s book author who has written in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and Shahmukhi script.
“He completed his BTech in civil engineering from IIT-Delhi in 2016,” according to his mother, Rajwant Kaur. Since then, he has been getting ready for the test.
