PG course admissions at DU will open for undergrads on April 25 and run until mid-May

Next Monday, the University of Delhi (DU) will begin accepting applications for admission to its postgraduate program. The university will begin accepting applications for postgraduate programs for the 2024–25 academic year on April 25 and for undergraduate programs in mid-May, according to Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh.

The University will be accepting applications for 82 postgraduate courses. The institution will also begin accepting applications for two five-year integrated programs and three BTech programs.

This year, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will be used for admission to BA LLB programs, whereas the Joint Entrance Examination will be used for admission to BTech programs.

Prof. Haneet Gandhi, the dean of admissions, gave comprehensive information on admissions for 2024–2025. She said that admissions will be offered for 13,500 postgraduate seats (including NCWEB) this year, 120 seats each for three B.Tech programs, and 60 seats for BA LLB and BBA LLB courses. He said that this time around, PG admissions now comprise MA Hindu Studies, MA Public Health, MA Chinese Studies, MA Korean Studies, and Master in Fine Arts.

The institution announced plans to start cooperative research, dual degree, and joint degree programs last year. Through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), which is based on the Common University Entrance Test, it accepted applications for UG and PG admissions (CUET). The CUET UG test is scheduled for May, however the PG 2024 results have already been made public.

This year, 4,62,603 distinct registered applicants took the CUET PG test, which was held from March 11–28. This year’s CUET PG has 190 institutions in total—central, state, private, and others—including DU.

V-C congrats qualifies for the UPSC.

V-C Yogesh Singh also expressed his delight at the accomplishments of former DU students in the most recent UPSC results, noting that two DU candidates—one from Miranda House and the other from Stephen’s College—were among the top 5. The V-C saw that a student from DU was also occupying the sixth place. He said that four of the five female students from Miranda House who qualified for the UPSC are ranked in the top 50.
