PM Modi: The opposition is fabricating footage of myself and Amit Shah to sabotage the vote

SOLAPUR/SATARA: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the opposition of planning to utilize phony tapes purporting to show him and Amit Shah, the home minister, in an attempt to sabotage the orderly election process so far.

They have produced fictitious films featuring Amit Bhai, JP Naddaji, myself, and a few of our chief ministers. During his Maharashtra campaign, Modi said, “They have used AI to put words in our mouths that we could never have imagined uttering.” This came at the same time when an accused Congress “war room coordinator” was arrested in Assam for disseminating a video of Shah.

“I take this accusation very seriously. “I would like to specifically request that the Indian Commission take strict measures,” he stated. While supporting BJP candidate Udayanraje Bhonsle in Satara, the PM asked the audience not to share films that seemed to have been altered. Held, Congman was “linked” to a phony Shah video
On Monday, a 31-year-old man was taken into custody in Guwahati on suspicion of disseminating a “fake video” featuring Union Home Minister Amit Shah. According to Reetom Singh’s social media page, he is the “war room coordinator” for the Assam Congress and was arrested on X, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed.

In addition, the BJP complained to the EC three times on Monday. It claimed that Congress had tampered with the election process by disseminating a “deep fake and morphed” video of Shah. Along with accusing TMC of using violence as a strategy, BJP has filed a complaint against the party, pleading with the poll panel to guarantee a fair election in West Bengal. Supriya Shrinate, the Congress spokeswoman, is the target of the third complaint, which accuses her of “exploitation and misuse of innocent children for political gains, during the ongoing polls.”

Anil Baluni, the head of the national media cell, and Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw led a BJP team that brought these grievances to the attention of the EC. “Congress intends to use a deepfake and altered video (of Amit Shah) to sabotage the electoral process.” By sharing the video on its official account, it has attempted to confuse viewers, according to Vaishnaw.
