PM Modi claims he “grabbed poor people’s land” at the NDA rally in Jamui, aimed at the Lalu family

With a thunderous cheer, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his Lok Sabha campaign in the territory of Jamui, Bihar. The BJP in Bihar demonstrated power, togetherness, and solidarity throughout the rally. On stage with the PM were leaders of all the NDA groups. Together on a platform for the first time since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were Chirag Paswan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Upendra Kushwaha, the president of RLSP, was also present on stage. As soon as he got on stage, PM Modi had one-on-one talks with each of his colleagues. Chirag Paswan, a Jamui MP, greeted and complimented Prime Minister Modi on his visit to the state.

Prime Minister Modi’s speech in Bhojpuri: A thrilling beginning
PM Modi gave a speech in Bhojpuri to start the event. He first showed respect for Baba Dhaneshwar Nath and then for the place where Bhagwan Mahavir attained enlightenment. Then he asked the crowd whether they were attending an election rally or a victory march. He applauded Jamui’s enormous attendance, saying it showed the people’s pulse. The voices expressed in support of the BJP and NDA in Jamui are not exclusive to Bihar; they are heard across the country. With Jamui joining Nawada, Munger, and Banka, all 40 of Bihar’s seats seem ready to be awarded to the NDA, respecting the people’s choice.

Honouring Ram Vilas Paswan
While thanking the people of Bihar for their hospitality, Prime Minister Modi said that Ram Vilas Paswan, the revered leader of the Dalits and other marginalised people, was not there. Paswan was awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously. PM Modi expressed happiness that his younger brother Chirag Paswan is devotedly and sincerely continuing his father’s heritage. The backing given to the NDA on April 19 will fortify the conviction of Ram Vilas Ji’s principles, as would every vote cast for Arun Bharati Ji.

Nitish Kumar deserves praise.
PM Modi praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said that Bihar has played a key role in pointing the country in the right direction. Bihar has been a major player in the struggle for independence and in building the framework for an independent India. Bihar’s strength has not been given enough credit, albeit the regrettable circumstances. The NDA alliance has put forth endless effort to pull Bihar out of anarchy. In this attempt, Nitish Babu’s leadership has been indispensable. Bihar has to pick up the pace of its growth right now. As a result, Bihar’s and India’s destiny depends on the results of the 2024 elections. The goals of this election are to fortify the determination towards a prosperous India and to realise the aspirations of a developed Bihar.

PM Modi firmly criticised the opposition, contrasting his government’s achievements with those of the last several governments. He emphasised how, ten years before, terrorist strikes were received with concerns from other nations, damaging India’s reputation on a worldwide scale. Under his direction, India stands tall and makes a worldwide statement today. He highlighted India’s successes in space exploration, scientific breakthroughs, and economic progress, drawing a comparison with the past and its neglected state of affairs.

reminding me of Jungle Raj
PM Modi emphasised how Bihar is changing, with the advancements in Jamui serving as an example. He described the gloomy times of the Jungle Raj, when Jamui’s identity was tarnished by naxalism and neglect under the RJD-led alliance. Jamui is now moving quickly along the development highway. The threat posed by naxalism has been eliminated, and those who dabbled with it have been welcomed back into society. The area’s natural beauty is drawing tourists, and it is seeing tremendous infrastructure development, including the opening of medical institutes.

Remembering a decade of growth
Reviewing his government’s accomplishments over the last ten years, PM Modi emphasised its dedication to uplifting the underprivileged. He reminded the audience that the wellbeing of the impoverished has been given top priority by his administration. He gave his word that the social programmes his administration had started, such homes for the underprivileged, free ration distribution, and healthcare, would not stop. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the immunisation programme against foot-and-mouth disease for about two crore animals in Bihar. He made a comparison between the previous administration’s corruption and carelessness and his government’s open distribution of benefits to the underprivileged.
