Police in Hisar destroyed 3,088 kg of narcotics

3,088 kg of drugs that were found in the police districts of Fatehabad, Sirsa, and Dabwali were disposed of by the Hisar Range Police today. 1,434 kg of drugs that the district police of Hisar, Jind, and Hansi had confiscated were turned over to the authorities on April 12.

In the Hisar range this year, 4,522 kg of drugs had been disposed of in total. The drugs that were found had been disposed of at the Synergy Waste Management Plant in Industrial Area (HUDA), Sector 27–28, according to Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) M Ravi Kiran.

Along with other police officials and staff, the event was attended by Aastha Modi, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Fatehabad, Sirsa SP Vikrant Bhushan, and Dabwali SP Sumer Singh.

In the Fatehabad area, the prohibited drugs comprise around 1,084.2 kg of doda poppy, 22.8 kg of ganja, 1.5 kg of hashish, 1.9 kilograms of heroin (128 mg), and 4,160 intoxicants.

Similar to this, in the Sirsa region, 13,820 intoxication tablets and capsules, 821 gm heroin (81 mg), 10 gm ganja, 48 vials of intoxicants, and 624.7 kg of doda poppy were destroyed.

In addition, 43 drug bottles, 2,280 intoxication tablets, 500.5 kg of doda poppy, 5 gram of heroin, and 28.8 kg of ganja were destroyed in Dabwali.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board’s guidelines, all of these medications had been destroyed in the organic waste disposal facility, according to the ADGP.

He said, “It had been made sure that zero carbon emission regulations were followed while destroying all these substances.”
