Poll workers made aware of the usage of VVPAT and EVM

In anticipation of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, a one-day training session for presiding, polling, and sector officials was conducted here. The training program was overseen by Gursimer Singh, the Nurpur Assistant Returning Officer/SDM. PowerPoint was used to instruct the election officials before they were deployed.

In addition, they received awareness training about the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) procedures for handling the voting process. On this particular occasion, officials assigned to election duty received instruction on how to use VVPATs and EVMs. This time, according to the ARO, plans had been made to provide training via PowerPoint in order to clear up any questions about the voting procedure.

All of the presiding officers also received the election instruction manuals. The ARO reminded the presiding officials that they would need to make sure that their teams followed all of the ECI’s requirements while performing their tasks.

He said that May 22 would be the day of the second rehearsal. In order to guarantee that the voting process is carried out in a transparent way, he also ordered all of the officials to make sure that the Election Commission’s instructions are adhered to in full.
