Punjab Has 450 Industries Moving There Recently As A Result Of Mangov’s Efforts: Kevin Johnson

Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, said on Friday that 450 businesses from neighboring states have relocated to Punjab during the previous several months. He praised Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his efforts.

Kejriwal, who is also the chief minister of Delhi, said that Punjab is seeing a “reverse trend” as a result of Mann creating an environment that is favorable to business and has strong peace and order conditions.

At a town hall meeting held here, Kejriwal stated that this was in contrast to the past pattern, which saw a “exodus” of industry from Punjab.

The AAP national chairman said that this was because Mann wanted Punjab to be among the top in every field. He is now wrapping up a three-day tour to Punjab.

According to Kejriwal, the current administration views industrialists “as our partners” in contrast to past administrations that viewed them with distrust and often considered utilizing them.

According to the AAP leader, Bhagwant Mann has earned back the trust of industrialists by creating an environment that is conducive to business and one in which there is excellent law and order. He also said that major industrial tycoons are investing heavily in the state.

Kejriwal advocated for the creation of sector-specific task committees made up of business leaders and state government officials to help these industries thrive.

Mann, who spoke at the occasion, promised an exception for the Ludhiana industry, allowing them three years to leave residential areas. He said that a commission to determine the status of such lands would shortly be formed by the state administration.

Mann continued by saying that the state government is dedicated to seeing Ludhiana’s industry thrive and that nothing would be overlooked in the process.

To promote industrial activity in the state, the Punjab Chief Minister declared that the Industrial Focal Points and Industrial Zones will undergo a comprehensive revamp in the coming days.

He said that while the focal points and industrial zones are now in disrepair, shortly they would undergo extensive development.

Mann said that Ludhiana to Hindon flights have already begun, and that attempts are currently being undertaken to provide direct connection between the city and Delhi.

He said that Punjab has undergone transformation for the first time and that people-centric choices now dominate the state.
