Railway Minister: “PM Modi guarantees confirmed ticket for all in next five years.”

All train travelers would be able to get a verified ticket over the next five years, Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday. The minister made the comment while speaking with IANS.

Additionally, Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the railroads in a manner never seen before in the last ten years.

“In the next five years, PM Modi guarantees that the capacity of the railways will be increased so much that almost any passenger who wants to travel can easily get a confirmed ticket,” stated the Union Minister.

Railways, a vital component of the nation’s economic expansion, “will be further strengthened and the facilities, especially for the passengers, will be expanded at a much faster pace,” he said, indicating that they would continue to develop over the next five years.

Vaishnav also emphasized the changes that the Indian Railways had seen in the last ten years, stating, “31,000 kilometers of new tracks were built from 2014 to 2024.”

“In the 10 years from 2004 to 2014, only around 5,000 kilometres were electrified, whereas in the last 10 years, a staggering 44,000 kilometres of railway electrification took place,” stated Ashwini Vaishnaw.

“31,000 kilometers of new rail were constructed between 2014 and 2024. Only around 5,000 kilometers of railways were electrified in the ten years between 2004 and 2014, compared to an astounding 44,000 kilometers in the most recent ten years, according to Vaishnaw.

“Only 32,000 coaches were made from 2004-2014.”

There have been 54,000 coaches manufactured in the previous ten years. Before 2014, not a single kilometer of the dedicated freight route had been put into service, the speaker said.

The Union Minister said, “Now, two dedicated freight corridors totaling 2,734 kilometers have been put into service.”
