Rajnath Singh, India’s defense minister, will visit France and Italy to deepen bilateral defense relations

Kshatriya Mantri From October 9 to October 12, 2023, Shri Rajnath Singh will go visiting Italy and France. The Raksha Mantri will meet Mr. Guido Crisetto, the Italian Defense Minister, in Rome on the first leg of his two-nation tour. At the time of the Italian Prime Minister’s visit to India in March 2023, the bilateral relationship between India and Italy was upgraded to a Strategic Partnership.

The 5th Annual Defence Dialogue will be held in Paris during the second and last leg between Shri Rajnath Singh and Mr. Sebastian Lecornu, Minister of the French Armed Forces. Recently, India and France commemorated their 25-year strategic partnership. Both nations have extensive and close bilateral defense ties, which include substantial industrial collaboration.

The Raksha Mantri will also meet with CEOs and senior members of the defense sector in both Rome and Paris to talk about possible chances for industrial collaboration.
