Regarding the NH-55 repair, Sasmit Patra criticizes Dharmendra Pradhan

On Friday, the BJD intensified its criticism of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for not finishing the repairs on NH-55, which prevents residents of Sambalpur, Angul, and Dhenkanal from using the state government’s LAccMI.

All district heads are linked with blocks thanks to the government’s rural connectivity project LAccMI, according to BJD national spokesman and Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra, who spoke to reporters here. In addition to the 122 Jagannath Express buses, the government is operating 1,600 buses under the program to link residents of other districts with Puri.

According to Patra, the LAccMI program has linked more than 62,000 educational institutions, helping thousands of students fulfill their aspirations. Additionally, it has produced 32,000 employment for young people. In addition, he said, 9,000 bus shelters have been constructed as rest areas for elderly and female passengers.

The BJD leader said that ladies, students, and divyangs may now travel comfortably across rural Odisha for only Rs 5 a ticket. But he claimed that because to NH-55’s appalling state, all of this hard work is being undone in Sambalpur and the neighboring districts of Angul and Dhenkanal. He continued, saying that lakhs of women, students, and the elderly suffer as a result.
