Restaurant Manager and 4 Waiters Arrested for Illegally Supplying Alcohol: Official Excise in Noida

According to authorities from the Gautam Buddh Nagar Excise Department, the manager and four waiters of a restaurant within a mall here have been detained for allegedly providing alcohol to customers without a license.
They said that on Monday night during a raid at the Chakravyuh restaurant within the Noida Sector 75 Spectrum Mall, the five were taken into custody.
"Excise inspectors Abhinav Shahi and Ravi Jaiswal spearheaded the raid, which was carried out as a result of a tip-off. Despite the restaurant's lack of a license to sell alcohol, the excise team discovered it being served there, according to District Excise Officer Rakesh Bahadur Singh.
Twenty cans and more than 40 pints of various beer brands were found by the excise crew. Four bottles of rum and whiskey were also found on the restaurant's counter. Also, more than 10 empty liquor bottles from various brands were discovered there, according to Singh.
Aruj Singh Sandhu, the restaurant's manager, and the waiters Jagdish Singh, Vikas, Pintu Jha, and Dinesh Chandra were detained based on what was discovered there, he said.
According to the officer, the department has reported the incident to the neighborhood Sector 113 police department, and a FIR has been filed against the accused in accordance with the applicable Excise Act provisions.
