Saamana reports that only Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi, and Vijay Mallya remain to be inducted into the BJP

The Shiv Sena (UBT) said on Wednesday that only suspected economic criminals Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi, and Vijay Mallya were remaining to be admitted into the BJP, days after NCP leader Ajit Pawar joined the Maharashtra cabinet.

An editorial in the Sena (UBT) newspaper “Saamana” compared the political climate in Maharashtra to a movie and referred to the chief minister, Eknath Shinde, and the two deputy chief ministers, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, as “One (doubt) Full and two half.”

To become deputy chief minister in the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition, Ajit Pawar spearheaded a vertical split in the NCP on Sunday. This shocked his uncle Sharad Pawar, who created the organization 24 years ago after leaving the Congress.

Eight more NCP MLAs, including Chhagan Bhujbal and Hasan Mushrif, were sworn in as ministers in the Eknath Shinde government in addition to Ajit Pawar.

According to the editorial, Delhi’s “superpower” was responsible for the NCP’s developments.

It claimed that a party’s parliamentary group cannot claim ownership of the organization and its emblem since the Supreme Court made it plain in a ruling.

According to the Marathi journal, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) claims on corruption, morality, and dacoity are without foundation.

“The BJP is making fun of itself for its actions in Maharashtra. Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi, and Vijay Mallya’s induction is the only thing left for the party to do. One would become the party’s national treasurer, another will be named to the NITI Aayog, and a third will become the governor of the Reserve Bank of India, it joked.

Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi, and Vijay Mallya, three fugitives, are accused of defrauding public sector banks by taking money via their businesses, causing the lenders to suffer losses of hundreds of crores.

According to the editorial, Ajit Pawar was sworn in as the deputy chief minister of the state in Fadnavis’ presence on Sunday, despite the NCP leader’s claims that he would be imprisoned for an alleged irrigation scheme made before the 2014 Assembly elections.

It claimed that although the conversation on portfolio distribution (to new ministers) should have taken place in the CM’s official home, “Varsha,” it really took place at Fadnavis’ bungalow, “Sagar.” The Marathi newspaper expressed its “sorry state of affairs” for CM Shinde.
