Sharath Chandra to become an approver in a CBI investigation regarding the Delhi liquor scam

Sharath Chandra Reddy, a businessman from Hyderabad who is among the accused in the Delhi liquor scam, has been granted permission by the Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi to become an approver in the CBI’s case.

In accordance with Section 164 CrPC, the CBI requested on Friday that Sharath Chandra’s statement be recorded in court. He apparently gave his agreement when the judge inquired whether he was okay with the statement being recorded. The CBI’s motion was subsequently granted by the court.

In June 2023, Sharath Chandra became an approver in the ED case. He made remarks that led the ED to detain K Kavitha and Arvind Kejriwal.
