Show the BJP’s “misrule”: Congress leader tells employees

In order to expose the BJP’s “misrule,” Vikar Rasool Wani, the head of the Congress’s Jammu and Kashmir branch, has urged party members to be ready for the next parliamentary elections.

Speaking at a gathering of party workers in Banihal, Ramban district, on Saturday, Wani encouraged people to come together and oppose any forces that want to create discord among groups.

“The inability of the BJP’s programs to meet the actual demands of the people has revealed its hollow promises. During the BJP’s ten-year administration, the nation as a whole and Jammu and Kashmir in particular have suffered tremendously, he said.

The Congress representative said that the BJP-led government’s policies and actions have a detrimental effect on every industry, with people in Jammu and Kashmir suffering since they had lost their statehood as well as their rights to employment and land.

“Property taxes, toll plazas, smart meters, and unemployment are just a few of the problems that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing. The rate of unemployment keeps going up,” he said.

Wani also chastised the administration of Lieutenant Governor for what he saw to be a failing to address the issues that the people were facing. He said that “the BJP-controlled government in Jammu and Kashmir has only caused the people more suffering.”

The Congress leader accused the BJP of pursuing a “communal agenda” and urged party members to inform the people and oppose efforts to weaken and split society.

He said, “Every party member should make an effort to educate and persuade people at the grassroots level that the only party that can save them from the current chaos and arbitrary nature of the BJP’s misgovernance is the Congress.”
