Starting on September 3, the BJP will conduct five Jan Ashirvaad Yatras in the state of Madhya Pradesh

The Bhartiya Janta Party said on Monday that it would begin five Jan Ashirvaad Yatras in five different areas of the state as it prepares for the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh. Home Minister Amit Shah will lead the first yatra on September 3 from the Chitrakoot Assembly seat, which is located in the Satna district of the Vindhya area, according to MP BJP President V.D. Sharma in a media speech.

Over the following five days, Sharma added, the other yatras would start in four locations: Mandla (Mahakoshal), Khandwa (Nimad), Ujjain (Malwa), and Sheopur (Gwalior-Chambal). He said that the BJP leader JP Nadda and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had both been asked to launch the yatra from distinct locations.

The yatras will come to an end in Bhopal on September 25 after traveling more than 10,641 miles.

With the exception of the 18 months between 2018 and 2020, the BJP has been in power in Madhya Pradesh since 2003. After Jyotiraditya Scindia defected and left the Congress party with his section of MLAs, BJP regained power in the 2020 assembly election, despite the fact that Congress had won the 2018 election. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a BJP politician, was appointed Chief Minister as a result of the events.

Speaking earlier at the news conference, BJP leader and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar promised to increase awareness of the development initiatives carried out in Madhya Pradesh under Chouhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party will continue to hold onto power, and the state will assist India in its goal of becoming a developed country by 2047.

Before the state elections that are scheduled for November, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already declared candidates for 39 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. The saffron party’s losses in the 2018 assembly elections led to the selection of the candidates for certain seats. The BJP Central Election Committee chose the candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah both attended the CEC meeting, which was presided over by party president JP Nadda.
