Statements of Brij Bhushan’s helpers and employees were recorded; new versions of several minor documents

The Delhi Police visited the house of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) head Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda and took the statements of his friends and employees as part of the continuing investigation into the sexual harassment issue, an official said on Tuesday.

“As part of our investigation, we went to Gonda, where we interviewed Singh’s acquaintances and employees, including the driver, at their homes. The crew recorded the remarks, examined their IDs, and took down their addresses. The senior police officer familiar with the probe stated, “We are gathering evidence and working with victims’ testimonies.

A report will be presented in court after all the material has been gathered, he continued.

The source said that a new statement has been made under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure before the magistrate in court by the 17-year-old wrestler on whose complaint a POCSO Act case was launched at Connaught Place police station against Singh.

The official declined to provide further information, stating that because the issue is very sensitive, only a limited amount of information may be disclosed.
