Teacher in Karnataka Fired After Telling 2 “Muslim” Students to “Go to Pakistan”; Investigation Launched

A teacher in Karnataka is accused of telling two Muslim pupils to “go to Pakistan” after causing a stir in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The incident happened at Shivamogga’s Tipu Nagar, where the accused teacher allegedly informed two class 5 children that India is not their country since it belongs to Hindus while reprimanding them.

Manjula Devi, who is being investigated by the Karnataka Department of School Education and Literacy, has also been removed awaiting an internal investigation. She has, however, refuted the accusation.

The department took action when Shivamogga JD(S) leader A Nazrullah filed a complaint against the instructor, stating that Manjula informed the two pupils that India is not “your country” while reprimanding them. This is a Hindu nation. You need to visit Pakistan,” the Indian Express reported.

According to reports, the kids told their family about the occurrence, who then contacted the local authorities.

Following the filing of a complaint, a preliminary block-level investigation against the instructor was launched, and its findings were sent to the state’s department of education.

“On Thursday, we got the complaint. According to a preliminary investigation by the block education officer, the action against the teacher was started, according to Parameshwarappa CR, deputy director of public instruction (Shivamogga), who was mentioned in the IE story.

According to the report, the instructor said that during the original investigation, she was attempting to discipline the pupils because they were disrespectful of her and disruptive in class.

Block Education Officer B. Ngaraju informed the reporters that she has been teaching at the school for the previous eight years and has been a regular employee for the last 26 years.

He said that the instructor had been sent to a different institution and that a departmental probe into the incident would continue.

The Block Education Officer said that following the investigation report, the instructor will face the proper consequences.

The incident occurred a few days after a teacher in Muzzafarnager, Uttar Pradesh, was shown on video ordering pupils to assault a “Muslim” classmate. Additionally, a teacher in Delhi was charged with making anti-minority statements to her class’s kids.
