The leader of a group that traded stolen motorcycles in Nepal was

Yesterday, a group of Solan police officers apprehended Manoj (32), a young man from Nepal, for breaking up a motorcycle robbery ring. He is thought to be the leader of a group of bike thieves that are connected to many incidents around the area.

After Manoj was shown before a Solan court, he was placed under five days’ police detention today. After a police investigation, it was discovered that he and his associates had stolen many motorcycles from Solan town. Numerous bike theft charges against the group were reported to the police stations in Parwanoo, Dharampur, and Solan.

Thus far, three gang members have been taken into custody by the police. The police claimed that the thieves brought stolen motorcycles to Nepal to be sold.

Manoj and his group had already stolen two motorcycles from the Dharampur area. A Taksal resident also reported to the Parwanoo police on April 26 that his bike had been stolen on April 23 from outside his house. According to Solan SP Gaurav Singh, Manoj was detained while this matter was being investigated.
