Three thousand papers are outstanding with the chief minister and senior ministers: BJP

New Delhi: The Delhi BJP said on Friday that administrative and development activity had been put on hold since 3,060 papers were still outstanding with the chief minister and other AAP ministers.

Retaliating, AAP spokeswoman Reena Gupta said that the BJP has once again turned to unfounded falsehoods. “Every fake document the BJP has produced is a fabrication of its own making. The BJP has shamelessly attempted to mislead citizens of Delhi by providing papers on which work has already been finished, the speaker remarked.

“It has always been said that the Arvind Kejriwal government is not a government of administration but a government of propaganda, and this has been proved by the fact that so many files are pending,” said Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.

The chief minister has forty-two open files. Keeping so many files pending is a violation of the public’s confidence, and this statistic is associated with fraud and treachery.

He stated that the Ayushman Bharat initiative for the poor, the Women Commission, and the reformation of the Senior Citizens Council were among the issues that were still waiting.

According to him, the Kejriwal government has also held onto documents pertaining to extending the authority of the deputy and lokayukta for a period of two years.

“Water is a major issue in Delhi, and it is regrettable that documents pertaining to the city’s water policy have lain unanswered for seven years.” In a similar vein, he claimed that the government had maintained unfinished records pertaining to the Delhi Flood Control Board’s reorganization.

According to him, the government has been holding onto papers pertaining to development money for villages since 2018, while paperwork concerning the creation of unapproved colonies has been sitting with ministers for more than two years.

He said that while the Delhi Jal Board’s papers pertaining to STP construction are still delayed, cleaning the Yamuna is a serious problem for which STP development is absolutely important.

“If any work has been delayed from its due date, it is because of the BJP’s LG and bureaucracy, because the BJP’s bureaucracy is not adhering to the triple chain of accountability in the matter of services,” said AAP spokesperson Gupta.

The GNCTD ministers have been pleading with LG to take action against the responsible personnel, but LG has not done so. Thus, the LG is the only reason Delhiites’ ability to do their jobs is being hampered, the speaker said.
She called it really shameful that the BJP does not believe in due process. The Delhi government demonstrates responsible governance by adhering to the notion that each process should take its due time. By contrast, states under BJP leadership demonstrate a flagrant disdain for law and order, exemplifying a disorderly “jungle raj,” the speaker said.

She stated, “BJP’s LG and hell-bent bureaucracy persist in neglecting files of public interest, leaving them to languish in their offices, blatantly disregarding the repeated directives of ministers, despite required time passing in the due procedures.”

The BJP is well aware that our policies are unbeatable and that the Delhi government is really committed to serve the interests of the citizens of Delhi. Their acts show how desperate they are. We weren’t discouraged even when they first detained our deputy CM, she remarked. They have now taken to detaining Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister who works the hardest in the nation. These obvious efforts to obstruct our advancement only serve to confirm their mistrust of our steadfast commitment to become Delhiites,” the speaker said.
