Today, Rajnath Singh will go to Assam

On Thursday, the Minister of Defence, Rajnath Singh, is scheduled to visit Assam and speak at public meetings in Barpeta and Kokrajhar.

Speaking engagements at a Karyakarta Sammelan in Kokrajhar are also on his schedule. It is anticipated that Singh’s presence would boost party workers’ morale ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, is optimistic about the NDA’s chances in the next elections, predicting that the party would win 11.5 seats with a chance to win 12. Sarma emphasized that winning all 14 of the state’s seats is still the key goal.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will run for 11 of the 14 seats in the next Lok Sabha elections, while its allies the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) will fight for the seats in Barpeta, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar, respectively.

In the middle of his third campaign for the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi just got back from a two-day trip to the state that is run by the BJP. This year’s Lok Sabha elections are slated to take place in April and May.
