Tripura Lok Sabha Election 2024: Tripura East constituency: polling date, outcome, list of candidates, major parties, agenda

All eyes are on the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat as the state’s political scene prepares for yet another fierce contest. There is a great deal of excitement and political enthusiasm in the area since the next election is scheduled for April 26, 2024.

The seat is reserved for tribes that are planned. Dasarath Deb, the leader of the Ganamukti Parishad rebellion, held this seat at the first elections in 1952.

Based on statistics from the Election Commission, 1,140,269 people are registered voters in the constituency, which includes 30 assembly seats in the parliamentary constituency.
The Tripura West Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024 will take place on April 19 (Phase 1). June 4 is the date of the results’ counting and announcement.

Left Front candidates have been running against each other in this seat’s election against the Congress and BJP. Prominent candidates for the Tripura East Lok Sabha Constituency in 2024 include Darshan Kumar Reang of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Rebati Tripura of the Bharatiya Janata Party won 482,126 votes in the 2019 parliamentary election to take her place as a member of parliament. With 277,836 votes, Maharaj Kumari Pragya Debburman, the nominee for the Indian National Congress, came in second. Rebati Tripura defeated Maharaj Kumari Pragya Debburman by a margin of 204,290 votes.
