Two detained at Nakodar under the NDPS Act

Nakodar: Two drug dealers have been taken into custody by the Nakodar Sadar police on suspicion of vending intoxicating pills. Balbir Singh, the Uggi police station in-charge and investigating officer (IO), said that 1,018 loose intoxicant pills had been found in their hands. The suspects have been identified as Jagtar Singh, also known as Jaggi, a resident of Wara Dona village within the jurisdiction of the Sadar Kapurthala police station, and Soni, also known as Kama, a resident of Bhandal Dona village. A case has been filed in accordance with NDPS Act Sections 22, 61, and 85.

PO is caught in the police network

Phagwara: A proclaimed offender (PO) who had been evading capture for a few days has been apprehended by the Lohian Khas police. The accused, according to investigating officer (IO) Bhajan Singh, is Sukhdev Singh, also known as Boby, a Tashur village resident who is within the jurisdiction of the Sultan Pur Lodhi police station. He was sought for in connection with narcotics sales. OC

Man detained for stealing from a home

Phagwara: A guy has been taken into custody by the police on suspicion of stealing from a residence. Suraj, a Jalandhar native, has been named as the culprit. Suraj was caught red-handed by the police, but Happy, a native of Bhanoki village, managed to escape with his accomplice. In response to a complaint from Parveen Kanojia, a Phagwara resident who lives in the Bhagatpura neighborhood, the police have opened a case in accordance with Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. OC

Nigerian held by Phagwara police

Phagwara: On Friday night, the police detained a Nigerian citizen in accordance with Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. Superintendent of Police in Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said the suspect, Auwal Murtala, was taken into custody next to the legal gate. His visa expired on November 3rd of last year, and he was staying in India without a legal one.
