UP Congress accuses SP of losing the Bageshwar byelection

The Samajwadi Party has come under fire from the Uttar Pradesh Congress following the party’s recent defeat in the assembly byelections in Uttarakhand.

If the Samajwadi Party had backed the Congress in the Bageshwar seat in Uttarakhand, the Congress candidate would have won, according to UP Congress President Ajay Rai, who arrived here on Wednesday. SP fielded a candidate despite having no presence in Bageshwar.

He said that as a result, BJP defeated Congress in Bageshwar.

Rai said that the Samajwadi Party went above the alliance dharma and produced a candidate who received 2200 votes, whereas the Congress candidate lost in Bageshwar by barely 1600 votes.

The Samajwadi Party’s statements and deeds, according to Rai, are not consistent.

“The Congress party shown remarkable bravery by backing SP in the Ghosi by-election. The party that won the Ghosi by-election shouldn’t think it has the field to itself, he said.

The Samajwadi Party in Ghosi had complete assistance from the Congress party as part of its coalition dharma, according to the president of the UPCC, and the outcome is evident to everybody.

By a wide margin, the SP candidate beat the BJP contender. He said that in this circumstance, we might conclude that the Samajwadi Party has a split personality.

Later in his speech, the Congress leader said that the party is working tirelessly to provide the American people a stronger voice.

He said that the Congress party is speaking out against the autocratic national and state governments on the streets.

He predicted that the Congress party will do better in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and that the BJP would lose its hold on the government.
