Youth were duped by the BJP government under the guise of jobs: Sanjay Awasthy, leader of the Himachal Congress

The working president of the HPCC, Sanjay Awasthy, said today that the BJP was attempting to overthrow the democratically elected Congress administration because it opposed state development.

Awasthy said that although the current Congress administration has given young people options for job and self-employment in a transparent way, the previous BJP government has defrauded the youth in the name of employment.

“The Rs 680-crore Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Scheme for the youth has been launched by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu,” he said. The young are eligible for a 50% subsidy under the program for the installation of 100–500 kW solar panels on private property as well as the purchase of e-taxis. The program has been broadened to assist young people in pursuing natural farming.
