Because of Jagan Reddy: Telugu Desam Party, Hanuma Vihari left the Andhra cricket squad

Telugu Desam Party Politburo member Varla Ramaiah said on Monday that It was Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and “his henchmen” who had forced cricketer Hanuma Vihar to decide to quit the Andhra Pradesh squad.

“Hanuma Vihari, a promising cricketer from the Kapu community, has now decided not to play for Andhra Pradesh because of Jagan Mohan Reddy and his henchmen,” claimed the ruler.

He pressed the Chief Minister further, asking him to explain why the YSRCP meddles in sports and “harases young talents.”

On Monday, Hanuma Vihari resigned from the Andhra Pradesh cricket squad. Vihari claimed on Instagram that he was “left humiliated and embarrassed” by the Andhra Cricket Association during the current Ranji Trophy season.

The middle-order batsman said that “political interference” was the reason he had to resign as captain after only one Ranji Trophy match.

He said that he had yelled at the team’s seventeenth player during the Bengals game. Hanuma Vihari had said in the article that after the player’s complaints to his political father, the association asked him to resign as captain even though his team had won.

“I was the captain in the first game against Bengal, during that game I shouted on 17th player and he complained to his dad(who is a politician), his dad in return asked the Association to take action against me,” he said in the post.

It should be emphasized that Hanuma Vihari left out any political party names or cricket player names from his tweet.

KN Prudhviraj, the wicketkeeper-batter for Andhra, denied the accusations and said that he was the person Vihari was talking to.

“That individual you’re looking for in that comment box is me. Everything you guys have heard is completely untrue; nobody is more important than the game, and my self-respect is more important than anything. On any platform, it is inappropriate to use derogatory language and personal assaults. Every member of the team is aware of the events of that day. Whatever you want, play these compassion games,” Prudhviraj said on Instagram.
