Erling Haaland of Man City might play against Liverpool despite a worry over his injury

Erling Haaland, who had a scare during his international service with Norway, is expected to participate in Manchester City’s Premier League encounter against Liverpool.

Haaland did not play for his nation on Sunday against Scotland after taking a hit against the Faroe Islands the previous week. However, City boss Pep Guardiola said on Friday that the striker was a possibility for the matchup with Liverpool at the top of the league.

“He had some niggles when he trained yesterday,” he remarked. “We’re in our final training today; hopefully he can contribute.”

In his 22 club and national team appearances this season, Haaland has scored 20 goals.

At the top of the standings, City, the defending champion, leads Liverpool by one point.

In the top division of English soccer, City and Liverpool have been the dominating clubs in recent years. After rebuilding his squad, Jurgen Klopp is ready to take on Guardiola once again.

Two seasons ago, Liverpool made a run at a historic treble, but they came up short this year and failed to qualify for the Champions League.

According to Klopp, “this team doesn’t need to pass a test right now; the direction we are going—up—is really the right one, that is obvious.”
