ESports: Indian FIFA participants go for the Asian Games in Hangzhou; the official draw is scheduled on September 22

Indian FIFA Online 4 players Charanjot Singh and Karman Singh have left for Hangzhou to participate in EA Sports FC Online in the upcoming Asian Games, poised to make their mark in one of the most renowned multi-sport competitions in the world.

The Asian Games in 2022 will mark Esports’ official medal sport debut after it was included as a showcase event in 2018.

In the just completed Asian Games 2022 seeding competition, both athletes made their marks. Charanjot Singh earned the top seed in the South Asian area, while Karman Singh earned the fifth seed.

The National Esports Championships (NESC), run by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI), gave the two athletes, who are well-known figures in the international FIFA community, their spots in the Asian Games 2022.

Charanjot Singh said how he is feeling as the competition gets closer: “As the competition gets closer, it seems weird that the goal of representing India in the Asian Games 2022 is finally becoming a reality. Karman and I have been working hard in the gym so that we can compete on this stage against the best athletes on the continent. We’re motivated to bring home a historic medal and make our nation proud.

“The Asian Games 2022 provide a huge chance for Indian Esports to establish itself as a major force on the international scene. When Esports made its debut as a medal sport at the competition, I was one of the first competitors to carry the national flag. Karman Singh said, “We are prepared to face the challenging competition and put up our best effort to succeed.

Athletes will fight for gold medals in seven different categories at the Esports tournament, which will take place from September 24 to October 2 at the China Hangzhou Esports Centre.

However, India will take part in four of the seven games, including Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, League of Legends, EA Sports FC Online, and DOTA 2.

On September 22, a formal draw will be held to choose the dates and opponents for the games for all four championships.

The Grand Finals for EA Sports FC Online are set for September 27 and will be played in a knockout style. 34 competitors from 21 different nations will compete for the competition’s top prize.
