Kuldeep Yadav lashes out at his Delhi Capitals teammate Rishabh Pant, asking, “Pagal Vagal Hai Kya?”

During the Delhi Capitals’ thrilling victory against the Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2024 match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Kuldeep Yadav lost his cool. Kuldeep was upset with fellow DC player Mukesh Kumar for failing to deliver a straight hit that would have caused an overthrow.

The event happened on Kuldeep’s sixth delivery of the eighth over. Rahul Tewatia, the GT hitter, played it towards the point and then took a few feet to get a single.

But Tewatia moved away when he saw a fielder going for the ball. Halfway down the track, he motioned for his batting partner, Abhinav Manohar, to return as well.

Fielder Mukesh took up the ball, and as his captain Rishabh Pant yelled, “Maar (hit),” he launched a rapid throw that went to Kuldeep’s right, who was in front of the wickets, but Kuldeep was unable to collect it cleanly.

He became enraged at the effort and said, “Pagal vagal hai kya? (Are you crazy?)”.

Grinning, Mukesh defended himself. Subsequently, Pant was shown soothing Kuldeep, who seemed to have moved over the event as well.

Kuldeep bowled four overs at a cost of only 16 runs, demonstrating his frugal style. But of the six bowlers DC employed against GT on Wednesday, he was the only one without a single wicket taken.

The best bowler for DC was Mukesh, who finished with 3/14 from 2.3 overs, while GT was bowled out for 89 in 17.3 overs. Axar Patel and Ishant Sharma both claimed two wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed and Axar Patel each contributed one wicket.

DC lost four wickets while chasing down the modest score because they were pressed for time. With their third victory of the season, they reached the goal in 8.5 overs and moved up to sixth place in the standings.
