Nethra wins the second Olympic sailing quota

At the Last Chance Regatta, an Olympics qualifier in Hyeres, France, Nethra Kumanan of India won the country’s second sailing quota under the Emerging Nations Program.

Nethra participated in the women’s dinghy (ILCA 6) event at the Tokyo Games. Nethra finished sixth overall with 67 net points.

Still, she was the highest-ranking participant among the Emerging Nations Program sailors who had not yet earned a quota. India’s first quota for the Paris Games was earned by Vishnu Saravanan.
