T20 World Cup 2024: Harbhajan Singh selects the Indian squad for the World Cup, leaving Sanju and Hardik out

Harbhajan Singh, a former cricketer from India, has selected his 15-man Indian team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean.

Former Indian players have begun to suggest their World Cup squads as the BCCI selection announcement draws closer, creating a tense and unpredictable atmosphere.

India is keen to win their second T20 World Cup, particularly in light of their disappointing World Cup 2023 campaign. With Rohit Sharma leading the Indian side, the team management and selectors will need to establish the ideal balance among the group.

Hardik Pandya, the captain of MI, and Mohammed Siraj, the pacer for RCB, have been cut from Harbhajan’s squad.

Along with Ravindra Jadeja, the off-spinner has selected Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav as the main spinners. He has chosen Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and LSG prodigy Mayank Yadav in the speed department. MI star Jasprit Bumrah is expected to lead the pace assault with them.

Harbhajan has selected Shivam Dube along with Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson for the Indian team, leaving KL Raul out. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been chosen to open for Rohit rather than Shubman Gill.

Despite his recent slump, Suryakumar Yadav, a former player for India, believes SKY should be included in the team. Rinku Singh joins Harbhajan’s team as well, and he intends to contribute as an Indian finisher.

India will be motivated to win the T20 World Cup after losing in the semifinals the last time. India is placed in Group A alongside the United States, Canada, Ireland, Pakistan, and other bitter foes.
