Yuvraj Singh hails the teenager who broke his 24-year-old record, saying, “Future Of Indian Cricket…”

Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder for the Indian cricket team, was full of admiration for young Prakhar Chaturvedi, who broke his own 24-year record by smashing 404 in the Cooch Behar Trophy final. The young player improved his prospects of earning his Karnataka U23 and Ranji Trophy debuts by batting for 638 balls to accomplish the incredible accomplishment. As Karnataka won their maiden trophy, he became the only batsman in history to make a quadruple century in the Cooch Behar Trophy final. The record was held by Yuvraj, who scored 358 in the top match.

I’m very glad to see this! On social networking site X, Yuvraj said, “I’m happy to see the future of Indian cricket in safe hands. Records are meant to be broken” (previously known as Twitter).

In the final at Shivamogga, Karnataka rode Chaturvedi’s innings to make 890 for eight in 223 overs in response to Mumbai’s 380 all out.

It’s a wonderful sensation. I’m happy that the innings appeared in the championship game and contributed to Karnataka’s maiden victory (Cooch Behar). I’m a little worn out, but nothing compares to a team’s joy when they win the championship, and you are helping them do it,” Chaturvedi said to PTI.

Sanjay Kumar Chaturvedi, the father of Chaturvedi, runs a software company in Electronics City, while Rupa, the mother, works as a technical adviser at DRDO. Their family has always prioritized education.

However, it hasn’t stopped them from letting their kid follow his passion.

“They have been really encouraging to me ever since I started playing cricket when I was eight years old. During the (Covid-19) lockout, they had even hired a private throwdown specialist for me. Thankfully, I’ve been able to balance my education with cricket,” he said.

When it came to his growth as a cricket player, Chaturvedi gave his coach Karthik Jeshwant a lot of credit.

At the SIX Cricket Academy located at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Excellence, Jeshwant serves as Chaturvedi’s coach.

“Jeshwant sir has a great deal of technical expertise. He picks up on even the smallest technical mistake in my batting very rapidly. Being able to work with a coach like him is a gift, Chaturvedi said.

Former Karnataka captain, coach, and selector Jeshwant is clearly pleased. Prakhar is a youngster of dedication. He travels a considerable distance from his house in Bellandur to the academy, which is close to Devanahalli.

“His greatest attribute, apart from his excellent skill, is his capacity for handling pressure. He has a wise mind on his shoulders, and maybe we’ll see him go up the ladder soon,” Jeshwant said.
