Diwali gift: UP recipients of Ujjwala will get a free LPG cylinder

In Uttar Pradesh, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUJ) recipients will get free LPG cylinders during Diwali. Aadhaar beneficiary verification is necessary for this, and each district will host activities pertaining to it.

At a state-level meeting on Sunday evening, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave orders to police to make sure that strict security protocols are followed and that mistakes are not made. He also instructed them to plan for efficient traffic in each city and to station extra police officers in high-risk areas. Finally, he directed them to verify that CCTV cameras are turned on during festivals like Dhanteras.

In order to encourage peaceful and harmonious celebration of holidays such as Deepotsav, Hanuman Jayanti, Deepawali, Chhath Puja, Devotthan Ekadashi, and Dev Deepawali, Chief Minister Yogi released instructions.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (CM) has directed the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) to closely monitor any instances of food adulteration. The FSSAI has also been instructed to strictly enforce the zero tolerance policy, which prohibits any unethical behavior and imposes strict penalties on those found guilty.

Yogi emphasized that the police department should designate routes for e-rickshaw drivers and that all e-rickshaw drivers in the state must be verified. In addition, he gave the Transport Department the order to dispatch more buses on rural routes and to ensure that no driver is intoxicated.

Yogi emphasised the need to acquire and sell firecrackers via fire tenders and to keep firecracker stores and warehouses away from busy places during the Diwali holiday.

In addition, Chief Minister Yogi presided over a review meeting for the next Deepotsav, scheduled for November 11 in Ayodhya. He said that Awadhpuri will be lighted with 21 lakh lights, setting a new world record.

Additionally, he stated: “The grandeur of the Ayodhya Deepotsav program is garnering recognition not only in India but also in other countries.” Under such circumstances, all necessary arrangements for lamps, oil, wicks, locations, volunteers, etc. should be arranged, bearing in mind the majesty of this occasion. Appropriate seating and public transit arrangements should be made in consideration of both locals and international visitors.

The government of Uttar Pradesh also intends to hold Ramlilas in each of the state’s 24 districts, representing four different nations.
