In Azamgarh, a husband kills his wife and buries her body under the house

In Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, a lady was reportedly killed by her husband and his father after being beaten to death. The family members then left the scene as the accused couple buried the woman’s corpse under the home. Anita (age 22) was the person who passed away. Anita’s in-laws began pressuring her about the dowry and demanding a motorbike from her family after she wed Suraj a year ago.

According to Sanjay Kumar, the superintendent of police, the victim’s corpse was found buried under the home’s floor and submitted for a post-mortem. The woman’s in-laws are the targets of a dowry, harassment, and murder case, and attempts are being made to catch the offenders.

In the meanwhile, a 25-year-old lady was reportedly killed and burned on Thursday in Nabha, Punjab, by her husband and father-in-law. Husband Nima Ram, father-in-law Jaga Ram, mother-in-law Rekha Rani, and sisters-in-law Anju and Sapna were named as the defendants.

Surjit Singh, the deceased’s brother, claims that since Nima’s sister was unable to conceive, she was subjected to physical and emotional abuse. He said that she was also beaten and tortured for dowry. According to Surjit, who was reported by Hindustan Times, “When I arrived at the cremation ground, the body had already been set ablaze, but with the assistance of the fire brigade, I was able to douse the flames.”

On Friday, the police detained the pair, and a complaint was filed under Sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (causing the removal of evidence of an offense), and 302 (attempt to kill).
