In Pilibhit, a car full of devotees collided with a tree, 10 people killed, many injured, President and Chief Minister expressed deep grief

The Tata Magic vehicle, which was returning to Gola Gokarnath of Lakhimpur Kheri district after taking a bath in the Ganges from Haridwar, suddenly crashed into a tree. Ten people died in the accident. While seven people have been seriously injured. The District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police also reached the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured. The accident happened near Mala Mor on Puranpur Highway in the Gajraula police station area at around 4.30 am on Thursday.
About one and a half dozen people, residents of Gola Gokarnath, the town of Lakhimpur Kheri, had gone to Haridwar to bathe in the Ganges in a Tata Magic vehicle. These people were returning at around 4.30 am on Thursday when the Tata Magic vehicle collided with a roadside tree near Mala Mor on Puranpur Highway.
Passers-by informed the Gajraula police station about the accident. After which the police took the injured to the district hospital by government ambulance where doctors declared 10 people dead. While the treatment of seven injured people was started, seeing the condition of two injured in critical condition, they have been sent to Bareilly for better treatment.
On getting information about the accident, District Magistrate Pulkit Khare and Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar P reached the district hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured. The District Magistrate has confirmed the death of 10 people.

Minister of State for Sugarcane Development and Sugar Mills Sanjay Singh Gangwar said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the dead and Rs 50,000 to the injured in the road accident on Pilibhit Puranpur Highway.
