Massive Fog-Related Road Accident in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Claims 12 Lives

Due to poor visibility brought on by heavy fog, a significant traffic collision in the Shahjahanpur region of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning claimed the lives of at least 12 persons.

According to reports, in the early hours of Thursday, a speeding dumper collided with an auto-rickshaw carrying passengers, causing an accident on Farrukhabad Road, which is under the jurisdiction of the Allahganj police station.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, sent his sympathies to the families impacted and gave the order for authorities to give priority to the wounded people’s emergency medical attention while also providing the relatives of the dead with every support available.

According to Ashok Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police (SP), the tanker struck the autorickshaw approaching from the Jalalabad side, instantly killing all 12 of the occupants. He said that ladies, the elderly, and children were among the dead.

According to witnesses, the force of the accident caused all of the autorickshaw’s occupants to fall into the road, with some being trapped between the two cars.

Together with District Magistrate Umesh Pratap Singh, the SP stated he was in way to the location. He claimed that the victims had not yet been recognized and that the corpses were being transferred for post-mortem analysis.
