On its last stage across Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka joins the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

The third phase of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, headed by Rahul Gandhi, began on Saturday in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accompanying her brother.

Gandhi will be accompanied by her as the yatra travels via Amroha, Sambhal, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, and Agra before coming to an end on Sunday in Fatehpur Sikri, according to the Congress.

As the yatra moved through several parts of Moradabad, people sang phrases like “Rahul Gandhi zindabaad,” “Priyanka Gandhi zindabaad,” and “Congress party zindabaad.”

From an open vehicle, the Congress leaders could be seen waving to onlookers.

Chief of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to go on the Congress yatra in Agra on Sunday, after the parties’ agreement to share seats in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections.

“Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has resumed from Moradabad. Rahul Gandhi was accompanied in attendance by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the party. People hailed the yatra as it passed through Moradabad, hailing from all backgrounds. Manish Hindvi, a spokesman for the Uttar Pradesh Congress, told PTI that “both were seated in an open jeep.”

Priyanka Gandhi was supposed to join the yatra when it reached Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, but she was forced to stay in the hospital after becoming unwell.

On Sunday, the yatra will come to an end in Dholpur in Rajasthan.

In order to accommodate Rahul Gandhi’s long-standing promise to give two special lectures on February 27 and 28 at his alma mater, Cambridge University in the UK, the Congress had announced that February 26 to March 1 would be break days for the yatra.

It had said that at this time he would also be attending significant meetings in New Delhi.

On March 2, at 2:00 pm, the yatra will continue from Dholpur.

After there, it will enter Madhya Pradesh, covering a number of the state’s districts, including Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Shajapur, and Ujjain.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to offer prayers at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on March 5.

During his Bharat Jodo Yatra, he had prayed at the shrine on November 29, 2022.
