On World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announces an electric vehicle initiative for popular tourist destinations

On World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed a progressive plan to entirely deploy electric vehicles (e-rickshaws and buses) in popular tourist spots around the state. He announced that only electric cars will be allowed in certain locations, signaling a change towards sustainability and a gradual phase-out of conventional diesel and gasoline automobiles. According to media sources, the Chief Minister strongly urged commercial operators to participate in this eco-tourism project.

CM Yogi Adityanath opened an exhibition exhibiting Uttar Pradesh’s tourist potential at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium. He also unveiled the complete “A to Z” travel handbook at the same time. He gave out kits to Youth tourist Club members at the event and recognized those who had made contributions to the tourist sector.

The Chief Minister emphasized the urgent need for ecologically responsible practices in the tourist industry under the general topic of “Tourism and Green Investment” for this year’s World Tourism Day. He argued against the use of generators and for the use of solar illumination, envisioning tourist areas adopting a green and upbeat atmosphere. The objective is to promote tourist development while using sustainable energy methods.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, emphasized the state’s leading position in spiritual tourism and said that travel is not just a driver of change but also a doorway to a new way of life. He described strategies to encourage private operators to embrace green practices by permitting only electric cars at popular tourist destinations, furthering this objective.

The Chief Minister promised the public of prompt and impartial decisions in response to issues expressed during public encounters. He instructed authorities to guarantee speedy resolution of problems via appropriate action. He also promised to take tough measures against criminal activity, reiterating the government’s commitment to the security and welfare of its citizens.
