Ram Temple Security Will Be Taken Over by UP Special Security Force in Ayodhya

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya will soon have its protection under the control of the Uttar Pradesh Special protection Force (UPSSF). To provide total security at the Ram Temple, the state government has approved postings for five commandants, five deputy commandants, 25 assistant commandants, 219 platoon commanders, 853 head constables, 3,219 constellations, 340 constable drivers, and others. The first batch of 270 UPSSF troops, out of the total positions sanctioned so far, has arrived in the temple town.

The date of the formal transfer of security from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), which up until this point have been responsible for guarding the Ram Temple, has not yet been decided, according to officials with the UP Police.

The UPSSF will be stationed in the Ram Temple complex’s red zone once the new security system is in place. Ayodhya has already been reached by the security force. A total of 108 acres of territory that is designated as a “red zone” would be guarded by UPSSF, one of the elite forces in which officers from the PAC and state police have been stationed. According to a top officer with the UP Police, the CRPF would be stationed in the area where Ram Lalla has been placed under house arrest.

According to officials, the UPSSF contingent will get special training during the first few weeks of their assignment, during which time they will learn about behavior control in addition to learning about the security system of the temple. An official said, “The security staff will also be trained to handle the expected crowd of pilgrims.”

A portion of the CRPF would continue to be deployed in addition to the UPSSF, while the PAC would progressively be removed.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the CRPF, and the CISF have all provided training for the UPSSF, which has been created to manage security at sacred sites.

Top police officers, administrative representatives, and members of the Ram Janmbhoomi permanent security committee attended a lengthy meeting on Thursday to review the new security arrangements.

A conference between the ADG security, the ADG zone, Lucknow, and other high police officials was conducted to discuss how to completely secure the Ram Janmbhoomi and its surroundings, according to Gaurav Dayal, divisional commissioner for Ayodhya. The authorities also spoke about putting the new security system in place.

The UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who recently visited Ayodhya to review the ongoing progress of Ram Temple development works, had ordered the deployment of special security forces to guard the temple. He also directed the deployment of the UPSSF and the implementation of the new security system. Additionally, he emphasized the need of the Ram Temple having a perfect security management strategy.
