UP: A wall of a building under construction collapsed in Lucknow, and rescue efforts are under way for workers

On Thursday night in Lucknow, a wall of a structure that was still being constructed fell, injuring many persons, according to the police.

At 11:30 p.m., word was received that a multi-level parking structure under construction nearby had a soil subsidence. Some makeshift hutments have therefore collapsed. There have been some injuries. Seven individuals have been saved and are receiving first medical care, according to Lucknow ADCP Syed Ali Abbas, who spoke to ANI.

He said that workers trapped beneath the rubble were being rescued by a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), which had already arrived at the scene.

“A team from the police, fire department, and SDRF arrived at the scene. The person who is buried is being attempted to be rescued, a police spokesman stated.
