UP Woman cuts her drunken husband’s throat to protect her 19-year-old daughter-in-law from sexual abuse

To “prevent him from sexually abusing” his 19-year-old daughter-in-law, an atoy maker in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh was reportedly murdered by his wife. The 40-year-old lady was detained, according to the police, for slicing her husband’s neck.

Police were cited in a source as claiming that the event occurred on August 14 and that Tejendra Singh, 43, was killed under “suspicious circumstances” when he was resting in the courtyard of his home in Bilsi town. Singh’s relatives alleged that a “unidentified person” had killed him.

When Tejendra’s wife, Mithlesh Devi, continued revising her testimonies throughout the inquiry, the investigators started to have their doubts. She confessed to the crime after being brought into jail for interrogation, according to SHO Bilsi Brajesh Singh, who was mentioned in the story.

The mother of four Mithlesh reportedly told police that “her husband frequently used to beat her and was forcing her to persuade their daughter-in-law to sleep with him.”

“I’ve been seeking for a chance to divorce my spouse. He returned that fateful night drunk and was camped out in front of the home. I slashed his neck with a scythe. She was cited as adding, “I did it to rescue my daughter-in-law.

According to SSP Budaun OP Singh, who was cited as saying this: “Based on the forensic report of the murder weapon, the woman has been charged under IPC section 302 (murder) and sent to jail.”
