Bhopal. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Patel, the state has been given additional charge of Governor. The much awaited expansion of the cabinet of the state BJP government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is yet to be done in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Rashtrapati Bhavan release, President Ram Nath Kovind appointed Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel to discharge the functions of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh during the absence of Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon.
It is known that Tandon is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lucknow. Meanwhile, sources said that Chief Minister Chauhan, state BJP president VD Sharma and state BJP general secretary Suhas Bhagat are in Delhi since Sunday and are discussing with the central leadership of the party regarding the expansion of the cabinet. It is estimated that 20 to 25 people will be taken in the cabinet. Among them are nine former MLAs who joined the BJP leaving Jyotiraditya Scindia in March.
In March, the Congress government led by Kamal Nath collapsed after 22 Congress MLAs resigned from the state assembly and the BJP government was formed under the leadership of Chauhan. Between the Corona epidemic and the lockdown, Chief Minister Chauhan single-handedly ran the government for a month. Later in April, he inducted five ministers into the cabinet. Meanwhile, Raj Bhavan sources said that Anandiben's visit to Bhopal on Monday has been postponed.
