Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur Dub Posters Rahul Gandhi in the role of Lord Krishna before the gathering
In the Kanpur region of Uttar Pradesh, posters featuring Congressman Rahul Gandhi as Lord Krishna were up on Wednesday. This is the day when the Congressman is anticipated to come with his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
Gandhi is seen on the posters as Lord Krishna riding a chariot, while the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, Ajay Rai, is represented as Arjun. Through the generosity of Sandeep Shukla, an Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee member, these posters were erected on Mall Road, close to the Cantonment, and in the Ghantaghar neighborhood (UPCC).
Shukla’s picture appears at the foot of the posters, but she was not reachable for comment. Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is expected to arrive in Kanpur via Unnao on Wednesday, when he will give a speech at a public gathering. Manipur saw the start of the yatra on January 14.
The Manipur-Mumbai yatra, which began entering Uttar Pradesh last Friday, is planned to travel 6,700 kilometers across 15 states on its east-west route. It seeks to meet regular people along the journey and emphasize the notion of “nyay” (justice).
