Uttar Pradesh: Mau Village girl gang-raped; one person arrested

In this community, five males are accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, according to authorities on Thursday. Additional Superintendent of Police Mahesh Singh Atri said that while the complaint was filed on Wednesday, the event happened on December 2.

The five males grabbed hold of the girl as she had left her home to answer nature’s call. According to Atri, the accused recorded the encounter on camera and threatened to share it on social media if the girl notified anybody about the crime.

Police have filed a formal report (FIR) against five individuals under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act in response to the girl’s father’s allegation.

“An investigation is underway, and one of the suspects has been taken into custody. The reason the police report was filed so many days after the occurrence is another thing we’re investigating, the officer said.
