21 Passengers Found Traveling Without Tickets on the Bhagalpur Express AC Coach and Arrested

Thousands of people travel on Indian Railways, the biggest train network in the world, each day. It’s a massive organization with its own set of guidelines that need to be followed strictly. Indian Railways has cautioned passengers traveling without tickets on many occasions.

Passengers who are discovered to be traveling without tickets risk jail and hefty fines. A recent story circulating on the internet claims that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has apprehended several people for traveling without tickets on the Bhagalpur Express. The authorities have taken these travelers into custody.

The Chief Traffic Inspector of the Commerce Department and Inspector Arvind Kumar Singh, who oversees the RPF, detained and penalized 21 unticketed passengers in the AC carriage of the Bhagalpur Danapur Intercity Express train number 13402. This incident took place at the Kiul station during a regular inspection. Following the inspection, 21 unauthorized passengers were detained and the appropriate action was taken against them by Inspector Arvind Kumar Singh and a team of Ticket Checking Staff (TTE). These unauthorized travelers were seen settling in the air-conditioned (AC) carriages.

It has been discovered that 21 people were detained by the Ticket Checking Staff (TTE), and they were fined Rs. 10,625 in total via electronic money transfer (EFT). Additionally, a video of the event that shows RPF officers bringing the ticketless passengers off the train for additional action has gone popular on the internet. It is evident from the video that the train officials are detaining 21 illegal people. While the media attempted to capture them, several of these people were also spotted covering their faces. One of the detained employees is also seen in the video preventing the journalists from filming them.

A lady who was traveling without a ticket was recently seen taking a reserved seat on a train, making waves in another news story. The lady was discovered to have acknowledged that she was traveling without a ticket, but she would not give up her seat and even got into a heated argument with other passengers.
