A 65-year-old UK woman checks into a hotel and discovers she has 200 bug bites

According to accounts, bed bugs are presently causing serious suffering for both inhabitants and visitors in Paris, where there is a large infestation. Additionally, it seems that the pandemic is spreading to other parts of the globe. When a lady from the UK saw these bugs while staying at a hotel there, it brought attention to the problem.

In recent weeks, locals and tourists in Paris have begun posting videos online and discussing their experiences, claiming that these insects have turned into a real menace to normality. A 65-year-old British lady named Sharon Haslam recently told the media about her terrifying ordeal. She had reserved a hotel in Blackpool, United Kingdom, to celebrate her friend Marion Pearson’s birthday, but she later found out that the place was infested with bed bugs.

Sharon spoke about their experience at the Calypso Hotel and how they had to leave after battling almost 200 mosquito bites. She worried that the bites would leave permanent scars since they caused enormous, red welts on her face. After their stay, Sharon and her companion both awoke the next morning with itching rashes and found blood stains on their sheets. Sharon also caught a glimpse of a real bed insect creeping close by.

They had last-minutely booked a two-night stay at the hotel for around Rs 17,000 in Indian rupees. On September 8, they were supposed to attend a birthday party with eight other pals. When they first arrived, Sharon reported that the room was tidy and devoid of any indications of a bed insect infestation.

When we woke up, my companion peeled back her covers and saw there was blood, she said to a media source. Where has it come from, we wondered. Then we discovered that mine had blood specks on the bedding as well. We solved the problem in five minutes. She went on to say that they had also discovered blood splatters on the flooring, and when she discovered a live bed bug, she caught it and took it to the reception.
