AI Yearbook Trend: Internet users’ AI-generated images from the 1990s take over social media

Internet users are always drawn to social media trends, particularly if they incorporate artificial intelligence. A similar movement that had individuals revitalizing ancient photographs previously dominated the culture, while another saw people coming up with creative theories about what the world would have looked like a thousand years ago. Another AI trend joined the pattern, and this time it transported online users back to the 1990s. People are making AI-generated photos of themselves that belong in the 1990s as part of the current trend known as the AI Yearbook Trend. The AI-generated graphics will depict the user as they were in high school in the 1990s. A user may choose from a variety of categories, including jock, fashionista, topper, and more. TikTok is where the fad first appeared on social media, and it soon spread to other sites.

People submitted their photos online as they joined the AI Yearbook Trend by going online. Others shared the photographs of various celebrities and their AI-generated images, while others admired their pictures and the accuracy of the artificial intelligence.

“HWASA Yearbook AI… here you go,” one person said.

“AI YEARBOOK,” a second individual added.

Another guy said, “Allen Iverson kinda ate with these.”

A fourth user said, “If anyone calls me brave I’m going to be pissed.”

I’m jumping on the yearbook train with a twist. What do you think of AI vs. the actual (restored) photo? added a fifth individual.

Sixth person: “My Ai yearbook pictures #aiyearbook @epik.”
