“Bro Forgot To Not Laugh”: Sunil Narine’s smiling meme has become the internet’s new favorite

The internet is in stitches over this hilarious footage of West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine. Narine, who isn’t exactly renowned for expressing his feelings on the cricket field, was seen grinning during an IPL match this season while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Because the scene was so unique, an X user turned it into a meme on the video. In the video, Narine is seen resting on the cricket field before he looks surprised to his right. The all-rounder was wiping perspiration from his brow when an unexpected grin appeared on his face. The user included a video of a lady applauding when she saw the cricket player smiling, which makes the video humorous. The Bollywood song “Pehla Nasha” plays in the background as well.

On the site, the video has already received many comments from users and over 114,000 views. In response to the humorous tweet, one of them asked India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to name this unique occasion the eighth wonder of the world. He wrote, “Petition to Modiji for considering this as the world’s eighth wonder.” Someone else made the joke that Sunil Narine was now officially a part of the humorous world of The Covert Indian. “Narine’s addition to Covertverse,” he said. “Never gets old,” was one response.

Another response was, “Bro forgot to not laugh.”

After smashing his first T20 century in the IPL against the Rajasthan Royals on April 16, Sunil Narine has been the talk of the town. Narine was unstoppable in the first half of the match, scoring his ton in only 49 balls while playing in front of a home crowd at Eden Gardens.

Shah Rukh Khan, the franchise’s co-owner, even responded to his lightning-fast innings. From the stands, the Bollywood star was standing and applauding the all-rounder’s amazing feat. The two-time IPL champions amassed a score of 223 in the first half thanks to Narine’s knock.

In the second innings, Jos Buttler’s century overshadowed Sunil Narine’s stroke, and the tide turned dramatically. The standout player for England struck for 107 off 60 balls to give the table-toppers a tight win by two wickets.

With four victories from their six IPL 2024 games played, the Kolkata Knight Riders are now ranked second. They will next play at Eden Gardens Stadium tomorrow, April 21, against a Royal Challengers Bengaluru team captained by Faf du Plessis. The team captained by Shreyas Iyer will be hoping to capitalize on Bengaluru’s unimpressive record as they search for their fifth victory of the year.
