“Bro is Sad,” SRH supporters comment on Travis Head’s deflated expression after the team’s defeat against RCB

Travis Head, who is ranked sixth in the Orange Cap rankings after hammering 325 runs in seven games in the 2024 IPL season, has been lighting up the pitch. Head, however, went through a bit of a difficult stretch in a recent match against RCB, going out for only one run off of three balls. To further compound the surprise, the typically dominant Sunrisers Hyderabad side lost to the lower-tier Royal Challengers, sparking a lot of discussion on social media.

However, the drama continued off the field. SRH’s official account posted pictures of the crew at the airport, and astute internet users saw Travis Head looking thoughtful with his brow wrinkled. Before long, the close-up photo of Head was the talk of the town, inspiring a plethora of memes and conjectures about his inner thoughts.

“Remembering yesterday’s setback,” a person said. Another said, “Soch raha kaise mai RCB ke bowler’s ko nahi maar paya (wondering how I missed those RCB bowlers),” while a third said, “Dead from inside after yesterday’s match,” with empathy. With a hint of humor, the fourth said, “Australian blood for real.” Looks dejected after failing to score in the most recent game.

The Hyderabad team’s four-game winning streak in the competition came to an end on April 25th when they lost by 35 runs at home. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, RCB captain Faf du Plessis set the tone with a commanding score of 206 runs for the cost of seven wickets. With their half-centuries, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar dazzled, and in the last overs, Cameron Green made an explosive cameo.
